US President Donald Trump suddenly canceled F-1 visas of thousands of international students. Following the decision, Indian and Chinese students together have taken the path of legal action against the Trump government.
These students have filed a case against the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and other immigration officers. The case has been filed by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) in the US District Court of New Hampshire.
Students say that the decision to cancel their visa is unilateral and illegal, which deprives them of education, future jobs and the right to invest in the US. The ACLU said in its statement that the matter is not only limited to these students, but it belongs to the future of thousands of international students living in the United States.
The lawsuit states that the sudden cancellation of the visa status is at risk of deportation and detention. The case involves 3 Indian and 2 Chinese students, who have presented their views in the court.

All the conditions were accepted, if nothing wrong with why why punish? Indian student Lincoln Babu Gorela’s F-1 visa has been canceled. Because of this he will not be able to apply for a master’s degree and OPT on May 20. He has demanded intervention from the court.
Meanwhile, a student named Tanuj Kumar Gumadavali said that there was a semester left to complete his degree. He told the court that they were following all the rules. His career is in uncertainty due to the cancellation of the visa.
Manikantha Pasula told the court that she had a semester left to complete a master’s degree. He said he obeyed the visa rules, performed well in the study and did nothing illegal. Now they are expecting justice from the court.

The US State Department has been investigating the data of foreign students for the last four months. Through this, visas of foreign students who are protesting against Israel and in support of Hamas are being canceled.
